Tampa International Airport (TPA) has been named the 2026 ISSA Spotless Space of the Year in the U.S. – a testament to Flagship’s ongoing service to the airport and the frontline team that keeps its facilities clean every day.
Announced as part of ISSA’s International Cleaning Week celebration and spotlighted during the inaugural ICW Awards Dinner in Washington, D.C., the award honors those who go above and beyond to create safe, healthy, and accessible environments.
Tampa was named a finalist in the ISSA Spotless Spaces Competition at the end of February, and beat out other prestigious facilities, such as the American Museum of Natural History, Central Park Conservancy, and John G. Shedd Aquarium, to take home the top honor.
“Maintaining a spotless environment in such a high-traffic facility takes dedication, teamwork, and a shared commitment to excellence,” said Derrick Deadwiler, Flagship’s Senior Vice President of Operations. “This recognition from ISSA reflects the pride we take in delivering a clean, safe, and welcoming experience for every traveler who passes through TPA.”
Flagship Aviation Services has served as TPA’s janitorial service provider for more than 10 years. This award reflects the dedication, consistency, and attention to detail Flagship’s frontline employees bring to TPA every day. Their work helps create an environment that not only looks good but supports the overall traveler experience.
