The World Cup will take place June 11-July 19, 2026. The tournament marks the 23rd edition of the global event and will be the first to feature 48 teams competing across three host nations: the United States, Canada, and Mexico. In total, 104 matches will be played, making it the largest tournament in FIFA’s history.

Flagship is headquartered in Southlake, Texas, a suburb of Dallas – the site hosting the most matches overall. Dallas will host nine matches in total, including five group-stage games, knockout-round matches, and a semifinal on July 14. The city will also serve as home to the International Broadcast Center at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, as well as a 34-day Fan Festival at Fair Park.

Held every four years, the World Cup is expected to bring more than six million visitors to North America during the six-week tournament, as fans travel between host cities to attend matches and participate in fan experiences and events surrounding the competition.

The skies above these host cities will be exceptionally busy, with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) already announcing plans to implement special air traffic procedures at several airports to help manage increased activity.

Airports nationwide are preparing for the influx of visitors by investing in modernized infrastructure, increasing terminal capacity, and introducing technologies designed to streamline passenger processing and reduce wait times.

As a leading provider of janitorial and facility maintenance services for airports, Flagship is focused on supporting a seamless passenger experience during the tournament. On-site teams will increase cleaning frequencies, expand staffing levels, and provide support and assistance to travelers throughout the airport.

Passengers are encouraged to plan ahead by following guidance from the FAA and Transportation Security Administration (TSA), including:

  • Monitoring the status of destination airports and potential delays or reroutes due to increased traffic volumes
  • Reviewing TSA travel tips and security screening guidance before arriving at the airport
  • Following TSA’s 3-1-1 liquids rule when packing carry-on bags
  • Checking “Pack Safe” guidelines prior to flying
  • Reviewing airline delay and cancellation policies through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Customer Service Dashboard
